4-11: Tri-Cities Craft Beer Week, Johnson City and Kingsport, TN, and Bristol, VA

The 2015 Tri-Cities Craft Beer Week will take place at at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in Johnson City, Kingsport, and Bristol, and nearby communities. This eight-day celebration, to be held in one of the nation’s fastest-growing craft beer regions, will feature events such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

10-11: Okanagan Fest-of-Ale, Penticton, BC, Canada

The 20th annual Okanagan Fest-of-Ale will be held at the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre. This two-day event, called the Consumer Tasting, will feature beer from 30 breweries, most of them from British Columbia; and festival-goers are invited to vote for the "People's Choice" winning beers. There will also be live entertainment, along with food from Penticon-area restaurants. Net proceeds will go to local charities.

11: Blue Chip Brewfest, Michigan City, IN

The Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa, in Michigan City, will host the fifth annual Blue Chip Brewfest. This afternoon event will take place in the Stardust Event Center. It will feature beer from a wide variety of craft breweries, including breweries from Indiana and Michigan. VIP tickets, with early admission and a special selection of beers, and Brewmaster packages, with a VIP ticket and lunch with a brewmaster, are available.

11: Gitchee Gumee Brewfest, Superior, WI

The 17th annual Gitchee Gumee Brewfest will be held at the University of Wisconsin-Superior's Wessman Arena. This late-afternoon event, which is a fund-raiser for the Superior Jaycees, will feature more than 100 beers from over 35 breweries, many of them from Wisconsin and Minnesota. Food will be available for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission and complimentary food, are available.

11: Sacramento Ball Sack and Beer Fest, Sacramento, CA

The second annual Sacramento Ball Sack and Beer Fest will be held at Wake Island Watersports in Pleasant Grove. This family-friendly afternoon event, with an “Old-Time Country Fair” theme, will feature beer from more than 30 breweries, including beers not normally available in the Sacramento area. There will also be an educational program; live music; food for purchase; and a variety of carnival attractions, including a dunk tank and potato-sack races.

11: Thirsty Orange Brew Extravaganza, Johnson City, TN

Superfly Fabulous Events presents the fourth annual Thirsty Orange Brew Extravaganza, which will take place at a new venue, the Millennium Center Courtyard. This event, which closes Tri-Cities Craft Beer Week, will feature more than 150 beers, along with infused beverages, mixed drinks, and shandies. The festival also hosts the Tennessee Championship of Beers. There will be entertainment, including a DJ, limbo dancers, and a 5-K color run. The festival charity is Trout Unlimited.

12: Classic City Brew Fest, Athens, GA

The 20th annual Classic City Brew Fest will be held at the Graduate Athens Hotel, formerly the Foundry Park Inn, in downtown Athens. This afternoon event, which is part of Athens Craft Beer Week, will feature around 350 regional and international beers, plus a cask ale pavilion with over 20 one-off Real Ales. There will be live music, and food will be available for purchase. Proceeds will go to the Athens Area Humane Society.

14-17: Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo America, Denver, CO

The Brewers Association presents the 2015 Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo America, which will take place in Portland. This event is North America's number-one educational event for professional brewers, with four different learning tracks. Other activities include trade shows, a wholesalers' conference, an educational program, a keynote speaker and seminars, and brewery tours.

15-18: Newcastle Beer Festival, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England

The Tyneside & Northumberland Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 39th annual Newcastle Beer Festival, which will take place at Northumbria University Students Union in Newcastle upon Tyne. This four-day event will feature 138 Real Ales, with an emphasis on beers from The North East, along with 40 ciders 15 perries, and a “pyder.” Food will be available for purchase, and there will be live music on Saturday.

18: Missouri Beer Festival, Columbia, MO

Bradley Marketing, Inc., presents the fifth annual Missouri Beer Festival, which returns to the Holiday Inn Expo Center in Columbia. This afternoon event will feature more than 125 beers, and brewery representatives will be on hand. Festival-goers are invited to vote for the "People's Choice" beer. There will be live music, and food will be available for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available. Part of the proceeds will go to Central Missouri Honor Flight.

18: CityBeat Festival of Beers, San Diego, CA

CityBeat magazine presents the seventh annual CityBeat Festival of Beers, which will take place in front of the Lafayette Hotel in San Diego. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 45 breweries, most of them from southern California. Three live bands will perform, and food will be available for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission and a special selection of beers, are available. Proceeds will benefit the San Diego Music Foundation.

18: Dairy State Cheese & Beer Festival, Kenosha, WI

The eighth annual Dairy State Beer and Cheese Festival will be held at The Brat Stop in Kenosha. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 40 breweries, many of them from Wisconsin. There will also be a selection of cheeses from around the state, live music, and food and merchandise for sale. VIP tickets are available. The festival is a benefit for the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha.

18: Hogtown Craft Beer Festival, Gainesville, FL

The Hogtown Brewers, Gainesville's homebrew club, presents the fourth annual Hogtown Craft Beer Festival, which will take place at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. This afternoon event will feature beer from dozens of breweries, including many Florida breweries and brewpubs. There will also be an educational program, homebrewing demonstrations, and food samples (included in the price of admission).

18: Taste of Brews—Inland Empire, Corona/Eastvale, CA

Taste of Brews presents the 2015 Taste of Brews—Inland Empire, which will take place at Crossroads Riverview Park, in Corona/Eastvale. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 40 breweries, many of them from California. There will also be live music, and food will be available for purchase.

25: Between the Bluffs: Beer, Wine & Cheese Festival, La Crosse, WI

The La Crosse Area Convention and Visitors Bureau presents the 13th annual Between the Bluffs: Beer, Wine & Cheese Festival. It will take place at 1 Oktoberfest Strasse in La Crosse. This afternoon event will feature more than 200 beers and 45 wines. There will also be live music, homebrewing and home wine-making competitions, and cheese and other gourmet foods. VIP tickets, which include pre-fest activities on Friday night, early admission to the festival, and food samples, are available.

25: PA Flavor, Harrisburg, PA

The Pennsylvania Brewers Guild, the American Culinary Federation, and the Department of Agriculture's PA Preferred Program present PA Flavor 2015. It which will be held at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg. This afternoon sampling event is a Pennsylvania food and beer pairing with 40 breweries, 20 PA Preferred food producers, and 20 PA Preferred restaurants in attendance. VIP tickets, with early admission and a special selection of beers and hors d'oeuvres, are available.

25: Parkville Microbrew Festival, Parkville, MO

The Main Street Parkville Association presents the 12th annual Parkville Microbrew Fest, which will take place at English Landing Park. This afternoon event, to be held under the cottonwoods in the heart of Old Towne Parkville, will feature beer from more than 55 breweries, many of them from Missouri and surrounding states. There will be live music, and food will be available for purchase.

25-26: TAP New York Hunter, NY

Hudson Valley Craft Beer & Fine Food Festival, Inc., and Hunter Mountain present TAP New York 2015, which will take place at Hunter Mountain. This two-day festival will feature more than 300 beers from over 100 invited breweries. Three awards will be given: the Governors' Cup (state's best craft beer), the Matthew Vassar Brewers' Cup (Hudson Valley's best brewery), and the F.X. Matt Memorial Cup (state's best brewery). There will also be daily cooking demonstrations, and food will be available for purchase.

25-26: Zythos Beer Festival, Leuven, Belgium

Zythos, the Flemish beer consumers' organization, presents the 2015 Zythos Beer Festival, which will take place at Brabanthal in Leuven. This two-day event will feature 500 beers from 100 breweries, and festival-goers are invited to vote for the Consumer Trophy Winner. There will also be a beer shop, food for purchase, and a tombola. Admission is free.
