January 30-2: Bent N Bongs Beer Bash, Atherton, England

The Bent N Bongs Charitable Trust, in association with the Wigan Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale, presents the 25th annual Bent and Bongs Beer Bash, which will take place at Formby Hall in Atherton. Around 80 Real Ales, including both new beers and old favorites, will be served at three bars. There will also be live entertainment at all sessions; food, including Bury black puddings, sausages, and sandwiches; live entertainment; and merchandise for sale. Proceeds will be donated to local charities.

January 30-1: Pendle Beer Festival, Colne, England

The East Lancashire Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the tenth annual Pendle Beer Festival, which will take place at the Muni Theatre in Colne. This year's festival theme is "Local Ale." There will be more than 100 Real Ales from the Colne Area, along with ciders, perries, and bottled beers. There will also be live entertainment, and hot food will be available for purchase.

January 31-1: Art & Craft Beerfest, Lansing, MI

I'm a Beer Hound, REO Town Pub, and Fork in the Road Artisan Diner present the 2014 Art & Craft Beerfest, which will take place in Lansing's REO Town. This event, which has been expanded to two days, will feature 20 beers, all from Traverse City's Right Brain Brewery; live local music; and sculpture (Friday) and paintings (Saturday) by Michigan artists. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available. The festival is a fund-raiser for REO Town’s AA Creative Corridor.

January 31-1: Breweries and Foodies, Denver, CO

Orange Crunch presents Breweries and Foodies, which will take place at Wing Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum in Denver. This evening event will feature beer from 25 Colorado breweries, enertainment by a live band and a dance crew, food from six food trucks, prize giveaways, and a silent auction. Proceeds will go toward Philippine typhoon relief. 

January 31-1: Festiv-Ale, Regina, SK, Canada

The 2014 edition of Festiv-Ale, A Brewer's Expo, will be held at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina. This two-day event, presented on behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion, will feature more than 200 beers, along with a selection of wine and spirits. There will also be live entertainment, food for purchase, and a Legion Museum display of war artifacts.

January 31-1: Great Canadian Beer Expo--Moncton, Moncton, NB, Canada

The Moncton edition of the Great Canadian Beer Expo will be held at the Cunard Centre. This two-evening event will feature more than 120 domestic and imported beers, and food will be available for purchase. Attendees will be entered in a drawing for a trip for two to Munich's Oktoberfest. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available.

1: Belgianfest, Seattle, WA

The Washington Beer Commission presents the fifth annual Belgianfest, which will take place at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center on Seattle's waterfront. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with more than 80 Belgian-style beers by Washington breweries. Food will be available for purchase.

1: Bock Fest, Los Angeles, CA

Barcelona Enterprises presents the 2014 Bock Fest, which will take place at Vanguard LA in Los Angeles. This afternoon event will feature a variety of beers (there were around 70 in recent years), with an emphasis on bock beers, winter warmers, and other seasonal beers. Celebrity judges and festival-goers will choose their favorite beers. All proceeds will be donated to local charities. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available.

1: Border Beer Fest, Laredo, TX

The third annual Border Beer Fest returns to the Laredo Civic Center. This evening event, which is part of Border Beer Week, is described by organizers as "the biggest beer festival in south Texas." It will feature a variety of beers from around the world (there were more than 100 in years past), and attendees are invited to vote for their favorite. There will also be live music; food from local establishments; the "Beerlympics" finals; and an educational session on pairing beer and food. Proceeds will benefit South Texas Academic Rising Scholars.

1: Brewers of Indiana Guild Winterfest, Indianapolis, IN

The Brewers of Indiana Guild presents Winterfest 2014, which will take place at the Champions Pavilion on the Indiana State Fairgrounds. This afternoon event will feature more than 200 beers from Indiana breweries, along with selected guest breweries. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available.

1: Buffalo Winter Brewfest, Buffalo, NY

The 2014 Buffalo Winter Brewfest will be held at the Connecticut Street Armory. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with a selection of local, domestic, and imported beers (there were 50 at recent editions festival). There will also be appearances by brewery representatives, live music, and food and merchandise vendors.

1: Cleveland Winter Warmer Festival, Cleveland, OH

The Ohio Craft Brewers Association presents the eighth Cleveland Winter Warmer Festival, which will take place at the Windows on the River in Cleveland. This afternoon event will feature a variety of Ohio-brewed "big beers" (there were around 75 in recent years), including rare releases. Blues artist Austin Walkin' Cane will perform, and food trucks will be at the festival venue. The festival is a fund-raiser for the Association.

1: Fond du Lac Brewfest, Fond du Lac, WI

The fifth annual Fond du Lac Brewfest will take place at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds Expo Center. This evening event will feature more than 100 beers from around the world from an expanded lineup of breweries, along with local home-brewed beers. There will be live music, and food from local restaurants will be available. This year's festival charity is Salute the Troops.

1: Great Australian Beer Festival, Geelong, Victoria, Australia

The 2014 Great Australian Beer Festival will be held at Geelong Racecourse. This afternoon event will feature more than 150 craft beers and ciders, along with a series of free educational presentations about beer and brewing. There will also be live music on two stages, roving performers, a range of gourmet food, a homebrewing exhibition, and art on display.

1: Hibrewnation, York, PA

The second annual Hibrewnation will be held at Memorial Hall West on the York Fairgrounds. This afternoon event will feature 80 local, domestic, and imported beers. There will also be a beer education program, demonstrations, and food and merchandise vendors. VIP tickets, with early admission and beer floats, are available.

1: Miami Beer Festival, Miami, FL

The second annual Miami Beer Festival will be held on the football field at Sun Life Stadium. This afternoon event will feature beer from dozens of domestic and international breweries, including some from southern Florida. There will also be live music and lawn games, and food trucks will be at the park. VIP tickets, with early admission and a special selection of beers, are available.

1: Queen City Brewers Festival, Charlotte, NC

The third annual Queen City Brewers Festival will be held at a new venue, the North Carolina Music Factory in Charlotte. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with beer from at least ten Charlotte-area breweries, with brewery representatives on hand. In addition, there will also be live music and food for purchase. The festival charity is Aceing Autism.

1: Rhode Island Winter Brew Fest, Pawtucket, RI

The second annual Rhode Island Winter Brew Fest will be held at the Pawtucket Armory. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with more than 125 beers with over 35 breweries, along with live music. Part of the proceeds will benefit the Rhode Island Brewers Guild.

1-2: Bruges Beer Festival, Bruges, Belgium

The Bruges Autonomous Beertasters, in cooperation with the municipality of Bruges, present the seventh annual Bruges Beer Festival, which will take place at a new venue, Beursplain. Organizers expect to have more than 300 beers from over 70 Belgian breweries, with brewers in attendance. Food from local restaurants will be available for purchase.

5-7: Battersea Beer Festival, London, England

The South-West London Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 24th annual Battersea Beer Festival, which will take place in the Grand Hall of the Battersea Arts Centre in Lavender Hill. This year's festival, which celebrates volunteering, will feature more than 150 Real Ales from across Britain, along with ciders, perries, and foreign beers. Food will be available for purchase.

6-16: Ashley's Belgian Beer Festival, Westland, MI

Ashley's, a beer bar in Westland, will host its fourth annual Belgian Beer Festival. Ashley's describes this 11-day event as "the country's largest pure Belgian beer festival." It will feature a rotating selection from more than 60 draft and 100 bottled Belgian and Belgian-style beers, including big bottles and new releases. There will also be a special Belgian menu, a Valentine's Day prix-fixe dinner, a waffle brunch, and happy-hour specials.

6-13: Cincinnati Beer Week, Cincinnati, OH

The third annual Cincinnati Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in Cincinnati, southwest Ohio, and northern Kentucky. The headline events during this celebration are the Taproom Trolley preview tour and collaboration beer produced by 13 area breweries. Other events will include beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

6-8: Fleetwood Beer Festival, Fleetwood, England

The Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 32nd annual Fleetwood Beer Festival, which will take place at The Marine Hall. Organizers expect to have more than 120 Real Ales, along with a selection of ciders and foreign beers. There will be live entertainment Friday and Saturday evening.

6-8: Tewkesbury Winter Ales Festival, Tewkesbury, England

The Tewkesbury Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 2014 Tewkesbury Winter Ales Festival, which will take place at the George Watson Memorial Hall. This three-day event (Thursday's session is for CAMRA members only) will feature around 80 Real Ales, along with a selection of ciders and perries. Food will be available for purchase.

6: Wines and Beers of the World, Milwaukee, WI

Wines and Beers of the World 2014 will be held at the Milwaukee Zoological Center. This evening event will feature dozens of beers and wines, along with a selection of pizza, cheese, and appetizers. The Primates of the World and Stearns Family Apes of Africa buildings will be open to attendees. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available. Proceeds from the event will benefit the animals at the zoo.

7-8: Dorchester Beerex, Dorchester, England

The West Dorset Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 26th annual Dorchester Beerex, which will take place at the Corn Exchange. This two-day, four-session event will feature more than 80 Real Ales and ciders, served from the cask. Food will be available for purchase, and there will be live entertainment Saturday evening.

7-8: Elysian Winter Beer Festival, Ely, England

The Ely & District Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the fifth annual Elysian Winter Beer Festival, which will take place at The Maltings in Ely. Recent editions of this festival have featured around 60 Real Ales, a selection of ciders and foreign bottled beers, and food for purchase.

7-8: Ilkley Beer Festival, Ilkley, England

Ilkley and District Round Table presents the seventh Ilkley Beer Festival, which will take place at Ilkley King's Hall. This two-day, three-session event will feature beer from more than 50 U.K. breweries, along with a selection of ciders and perries. Food will be served. All proceeds from the festival will go to local charities.

7-8: KLCC Microbrew Festival, Eugene, OR

The 13th annual KLCC Microbrew Festival will be held at the Lane Events Center Exhibit Hall in Eugene. This two-day event will feature a wide variety of beers (there have been more than 100, from over 50 breweries, in recent years). There will also be a homebrew competition, live music, snacks, and a music sale with thousands of records and CDs. All proceeds will go to KLCC 89.7 FM, Eugene's National Public Radio station.

7-16: San Francisco Beer Week, San Francisco Bay Area, CA

The San Francisco Brewers Guild presents San Francisco Beer Week 2014, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues throughout the Bay Area. Headline events during this celebration include the Opening Gala, The Bistro's Double IPA Festival, and the Toronado Barleywine Festival. There will be many other events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

7: San Francisco Beer Week Opening Gala, San Francisco, CA

The 2014 San Francisco Beer Week Opening Gala will be held in the East Hall of the Concourse Exhibition Center. Organizers describe this evening event as the northern California craft beer community's largest gathering. It will feature beer from 80 northern California breweries, and the lineup will include rare beers and beers from new nanobreweries. There will also be live music local food for purchase.

7-8: White Cliffs Festival of Winter Ales, Dover, England

The Deal, Dover, Sandwich & District Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 21st annual White Cliffs Festival of Winter Ales, which will take place at Maison DIeu (Town Hall) in Dover, the country's oldest festival venue. Recent editions of this festival have featured around 75 winter and strong ales, all with at least 5% ABV, along with local ciders, from small and independent producers; live musical acts; food for purchase, and a CAMRA stall and tombola.

7: Zoo Brrrew, Rochester, NY

The Seneca Park Zoo, in Rochester, will host Zoo Brrrew 2014. This evening event will feature an assortment of seasonal beers and New York State wines, served inside a heated pavilion. There will also be hors d'oeuvre stations with Mexican, Pacific Rim, and Italian food along with S'mores. The price of admission includes entry to the zoo that evening and a free ticket to a Summer Zoo Brew.

8: Albany Winter Brewfest, Albany, NY

The 2014 Albany Winter Brewfest will be held at Washington Avenue Armory. This festival will consist of afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with beer from more than 40 breweries, many in New York State. Brewery representatives will be in attendance. There will also be live music, food for purchase, and merchandise vendors.

8: Big Brew NY Beer Festival, White Plains, NY

The inaugural Big Brew NY Beer Festival will be held at the Westchester County Center in White Plains. This evening event will feature more than 200 beers from local, domestic, and overseas breweries, with brewery representatives on hand. There will also be live music and food for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission, a gourmet buffet, and a special selection of beers, are available.

8: Central New York Brewfest, Syracuse, NY

The 18th annual Central New York Brewfest will be held in the Exhibit Center in the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with beer from regional, national, and international breweries. Rob & The Js are scheduled to perform, and food will be available for purchase.

8: Cider Summit, Chicago, IL

SBS Imports and the Seattle Beer Collective present the second annual Cider Summit, which will take place in the Lakeview Terrace Room at Navy Pier in Chicago. There will be two tasting sessions, each with more than 90 domestic and imported ciders. There will also be food pairings, an author’s corner, and merchandise vendors. The festival will benefit The Great Lakes Cider & Perry Association and Heartland Alliance.

8: DeLand Craft Beer Festival, DeLand, FL

The fifth annual DeLand Craft Beer Festival will be held downtown in historic Artisian Alley. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 70 breweries, over 20 of them from Florida. The lineup will include ciders, rare and vintage beers, and cask-conditioned selections. There will also be a homebrew competition and demonstration, breakout sessions, prize raffles, and live music.

8: Hops & Props Craft Beer Festival, Garden City, NY

The Cradle of Aviation Museum, in Garden City, will host the 2014 Hops & Props Craft Beer Festival. This evening event, to be held on the amid the museum's aircraft, will feature a variety of craft beers, with brewery representatives in attendance. There will also be music and other entertainment, food for purchase, and a cigar bar. VIP tickets, with early admission and a special selection of beers, are available.

8: Top of the Hops Beer Festival-Biloxi, Biloxi, MS

The 2013 Biloxi edition of the Top of the Hops Beer Festival will be held at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Convention Center. The late-afternoon event will feature more than 150 craft beers, including newly-legalized high-gravity beers; the "Brew University" Education Area with presentations on cooking with beer, food pairings, and "Brewing 101"; live music; and games. VIP tickets, with early admission, complimentary food, and a special selection of beers, are available.

8: Traverse City Winter Microbrew & Music Festival, Traverse City, MI

Porterhouse Productions presents the fifth annual Traverse City Winter Microbrew & Music Festival, which will take place downtown. This afternoon/evening event will feature more than 150 beers from over 30 breweries, with brewery representatives on hand. Ciders, meads, and wines will be available as well. There will be live entertainment, and local food vendors will be on hand. There will also be a Brewers' Pairing Dinner, with special guest "Beervangelist" Fred Bueltmann, the evening before the festival itself. Festival proceeds will go to several local nonprofit organizations.

13-15: Warwick University Real Ale Festival, Coventry, England

The Warwick University Real Ale Society presents the 35th annual Annual Warwick University Real Ale Festival, which will take place at The Copper Rooms on the University of Warwick Campus in Coventry. Organizers expect to have more than 120 Real Ales, ciders, meads, fruit wines, and (new this year) foreign bottled beers. There will also be live entertainment each night; and food, including a hog roast.

14-15: Cincy Winter Beerfest, Cincinnati, OH

Festivals Unlimited LLC presents the sixth annual Cincy Winter Beerfest, which will take place at the Duke Energy Convention Center. This two-day event will feature more than 350 beers. There will also be live music and food for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission, and connoisseur tickets with early admission, food, and a special selection of beers, are available. The festival charity is the Big Joe Duskin Music Education Foundation.

14-15: Fox Brew Ha Ha, Grand Rapids, MI

101.3-FM, the Fox and the Grand Rapids Brewing company present the sixth Annual Fox Brew Ha Ha, which will take place at the Deltaplex in Grand Rapids. This two-day event will feature more than 100 craft-brewed beers. There will also be live entertainment, including musical acts and comedians Al Jackson and Pat McGann; and festival-goers are invited to take part in the "Brew Olympics."

14-16: Hucknall Beer Festival, Hucknall, England

The 2014 Hucknall Beer and Cider Festival will be held at the John Godber Centre. This festival, produced with the assistance of the Nottingham Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale, will feature a variety of beers, ciders, and perries (there were more than 40 last year), mainly from smaller producers. At last year's festival, there was food for purchase, a farmers' market Saturday afternoon, and live music Saturday evening.

14-17: Max's Belgian Beer Festival, Baltimore, MD

Max's Taphouse, a beer bar in Baltimore, will host its tenth Belgian Beer Festival. On Friday through Sunday, more than 160 Belgian and Beligan-style beers will be available on draft, and another 200 will be available in bottles. On Monday, Max's will hold its second annual Sour/Wild Ale Day. There will be a full Belgian-inspired food menu, along with a special beer release, each day of the festival. Admission is free.

14-23: Omaha Beer Week, Omaha, NE

The third annual Omaha Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in the Omaha metropolitan area. The headline event of this ten-day celebration is the Craft Beer Bus Crawl. There will be many other events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

14-16: WinterBrewed Festival, Ottawa, ON, Canada

The second annual WinterBrewed Festival will be held at a new venue, the Fifth Avenue Court and Arrow & Loon Pub in Ottawa. This three-day, seven session event will feature a variety of seasonal craft-brewed beers. Last year's event also included artisanal food; winter games, including a snowman-building competition; and children's activities.

15-22: Arizona Beer Week, various locations, AZ

The Arizona Craft Brewers Guild presents the fourth annual Arizona Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues throughout the state. The kickoff event is the Arizona Strong Beer Festival. There will be more than 250 other events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

15: Arizona Brewers Guild Strong Beer Festival, Phoenix, AZ

The Arizona Brewers Guild presents the 14th annual Strong Beer Festival, which will take place at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix. This afternoon event, which is the kickoff event of Arizona Beer Week, will feature an expanded selection of beers (there were more than 150 last year), with an emphasis on high-gravity beers. Food will be available for purchase, and there will be live music. VIP tickets, with early admission, are available.

15: Big Brew Beer Festival, Morristown, NJ

JMK Events presents the winter 2014 Big Brew Beer Festival, which will take place at the Morristown Armory. There will be afternoon and evening sessions, each with more than 225 craft beers, with brewery representatives on hand. There will be live music, and food will be available for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission, a special selection of beers, and a buffet designed by the Food Network “Chopped” champion Chef Eric LeVine, are available.

15: Brews, Blues, & Cruise, Kissimmee, FL

Brews, Blues, & Cruise 2014 will be held in Old Town in Kissimmee. This afternoon/evening event will feature a variety of domestic and imported beers, food samples from area vendors, live blues music from Swain Sumner Band, and a classic car cruise.

15: Pint with the Past, Hickory Corners, MI

The Gilmore Car Museum, in Hickory Corners (near Kalamazoo), will host its third annual Pint with the Past beer tasting. This evening event will feature beer from Michigan craft breweries. There will also be live music and hors d’oeuvres. Attendees will have an opportunity to view the museum's more than 150 automobiles.

15: Roc City Brewfest, Rochester, NY

The fourth annual Roc City Brewfest will be held at the Main Street Armory in Rochester. This celebration of the Irish will consist of afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with a variety of craft beers (there have been around 100 at recent editions of this festival), along with live music and food and merchandise vendors.

15: Zwickelmania, various locations, OR

The Oregon Brewers Guild presents the sixth annual Zwickelmania, a state-wide brewery open house. Dozens of breweries will invite the public to take tours, meet the brewers, and taste their favorite beers. There will be free shuttle buses that afternoon n Bend, Eugene, and Portland to take visitors to multiple breweries in those cities.

16-22: Grand Rapids Beer Week, Grand Rapids, MI

Liquid Table Beverage Solutions presents Grand Rapids Beer Week 2014, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Grand Rapids. The headline event of this celebration is the Michigan Brewers Guild's Winter Beer Festival, along with pre- and post-festival parties. There will be a number of other events such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

16-23: Lehigh Valley Beer Week, Lehigh Valley, PA

The second annual Lehigh Valley Beer Week will take place at at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in the Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton areas. There will be a number of events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

19-22: Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival, Chelmsford, England

The Chelmsford & Mid-Essex Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale present the 15th annual Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival, which will take place at the King Edward VI Grammar School. There will be 200 Real Ales, with an emphasis on winter beers, along with over 50 Real Ciders and perries and a wide selection of imported beers. Hot and cold food will be available for purchase.

19-22: National Winter Ales Festival, Derby, England

The Campaign for Real Ale presents the 2014 National Winter Ales Festival, which this year will take place at The Roundhouse in Derby. The festival venue is a historic railway roundhouse. Recent editions of this festival have featured more than 300 beers, including domestic and foreign draft beers, bottled Real Ales, and ciders and perries; the Champion Winter Beer of Britain competition; live music; British and Indian food; a CAMRA stall; a tombola; and merchandise for sale.

20-22: "Ale & Arty 2014," the Stockton Beer Festival, Stockton on Tees, England

The Cleveland Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents "Ale & Arty 2014," the Stockton Beer Festival, which will take place at Arc in Stockton on Tees. This three-day event will feature more than 80 Real Ales, ciders, and perries. There will also be a tombola, and will be available for purchase at all sessions.

20-22: Bradford Beer Festival, Saltaire, England

The Bradford Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 2014 Bradford Beer Festival, which will take place at Victoria Hall in Saltaire. The festival will feature more than 100 Real Ales, along with a selection of ciders, perries, fruit wines, and foreign beers. Hot and cold food will be sold at all sessions, there will be entertainment Thursday evening and at both Friday Saturday sessions.

20-22: Liverpool Beer Festival, Liverpool, England

The Liverpool & District Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 2014 Liverpool Beer Festival, which will take place at the Metropolitan Cathedral Crypt in Liverpool. More than 200 Real Ales will be served, along with a selection of ciders, perries, fruit wines, and soft drinks. Food will be available, and there will be entertainment during evening sessions.

20-22: Luton Beer and Cider Festival, Luton, England

The South Bedfordshire Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 31st Luton Beer and Cider Festival, which will take place at the Hightown Community Sports & Arts Centre. Organizers expect to have around Real Ales, including about 30 from local breweries, along with a wide selection of ciders, perries, and bottled beers. There will be live music Friday and Saturday evenings, hot and cold food will be available for purchase, and there will be a tombola and CAMRA stand.

21-22: Alton Winter Beer Festival, Alton, England

The 2014 Alton Winter Beer Festival will be held at Alton College. Recent editions of this two-day, three-session festival, which celebrates Alton's brewing tradition, have featured Real Ales from two dozen breweries, along with a variety of food for purchase. The festival is a fund-raiser for local charities.

21-22: Boston Spa Beer Festival, Boston Spa, England

The Village Hall Management Committee and the Friends of St. Mary’s School present the 2014 Boston Spa Beer Festival, which will take place at the Village Hall. This two-day event will feature more than 40 beers and ciders from across Yorkshire, as well as a selection of the CAMRA Trophy beers and ciders. There will be live entertainment, food for purchase, and games. Proceeds will fund projects at the Village Hall and the school.

21-23: Braukunst Live!, Munich, Germany

Finest Spirits presents the third annual Braukunst Live!, which will take place at in the MVG-Museum in Munich. This three-day event will feature beers from around 75 German and international breweries. There will also be a Braukunst Live! Academy educational program with open-stage discussions and special tasting sessions (extra admission charge). The festival website is entirely in German.

21-22: Clarens Craft Beer Festival, Clarens, South Africa

The fourth annual Clarens Craft Beer Festival will be held at Clarens Village Square, a picturesque venue surrounded by the Maluti Mountains. This two-day event will feature craft beers and ciders from 17 South African breweries, and brewers will be in attendance. Top South African bands are scheduled to perform, and there will be a concert Friday evening. There will also be a wide selection of food for purchase.

21: Craft Sippin’ in New Britain, New Britain, CT

Hartford Distributers the New Britain Museum of American Art present Craft Sippin’ in New Britain, a Winter Blues Beer Fest, which will take place at the museum. This evening event will feature beer from 15 local providers. There will also be live blues music and food from local restaurants.

21-22: Gosport Winterfest XXII, Gosport, England

The Plymouth and South East Hants branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents Gosport Winterfest XXII, which will take place at Thorngate Halls in Gosport. Recent editions of this festival have featured more than 80 Real Ales, along with Real Ciders and bottled beers; a Beer of the Festival competition; and live entertainment at all sessions.

21-March 2: New York City Beer Week, New York, NY

The New York City Brewers Guild presents the sixth Annual New York City Beer Week, which will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in the city. All 12 of the city's craft breweries will take part. Signature events include the Opening Night Bash and the Closing Party. There will be many other events, such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.

21-22: St. Louis Centennial Beer Festival, St. Louis, MO

The sixth annual St. Louis Centennial Beer Festival will be held at Moulin Events & Meetings, formerly the Schnaider Brewery Malt House. This event, which has been expanded to two days, will feature three tasting sessions, each with 200 beers, including beers from 20 St. Louis-area breweries. VIP tickets, with an expanded beer selection, are available for both Saturday sessions. A brewmaster's dinner, hosted by Chef Ryan Luke and 4 Hands Brewing Company’s brewmaster Kevin Lemp, will take place on Thursday evening before the festival.

Downtown Missoula presents the 2014 Winter BrewFest, which will take place at Caras Park. This is an evening event. Last year's festival featured more than 30 beers on tap, a wine bar, food, and live music.

22: Beer, Bourbon & Barbecue Festival, Tampa, FL

Trigger Agency, LLC, presents the Tampa stop on the 2014 Beer, Bourbon & Barbecue Festival. It will take place at Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa. The afternoon regular session will feature unlimited sampling of 60 beers and 40 bourbons; live rock and bluegrass music; barbecue, Southern specialties, and other foods; and seminars led by master distillers, brewmasters, and pit masters. There will also be a VIP Bacon & Whole Hog Session, with early admission and a selection of gourmet bacons.

22: Charleston Brewvival, North Charleston, SC

Coast Brewing Company and The Charleston Beer Exchange present the 2014 Charleston Brewvival, which will take place on the fields opposite the brewery. This afternoon event will feature more than 100 beers from more than 30 breweries. There will be live music, and food will be available for purchase.

22: Extreme Beerfest, Omaha, NE

Beertopia, a beer bar in Omaha, presents the eighth annual Extreme Beerfest, which will take place at the Ramada Inn Plaza. This afternoon event will feature more than 300 rare and strong beers, most of them above 7% ABV, and brewery representatives will be on hand. VIP tickets, with early admission and a special selection of beers, are available. On Friday evening before the festival, there will be a beer dinner featuring Odell Brewing Company.

22: Florida Craft Brew & Wingfest, Vero Beach, FL

The Vero Beach Sunrise Rotary Club presents the 2014 Florida Craft Brew & Wingfest, which will take place at Royal Palm Point on mainland Vero Beach. This family-friendly afternoon event will feature around 150 domestic and imported beers, along with chicken wings prepared by restaurants competing in the "Best Vero Beach Wings" contest. There will also be live music on two stages, and food for purchase from Royal Palm Point establishments. Admission is free. Proceeds will benefit Rotary Club charities.

22: Food & Froth Fest, Milwaukee, WI

The Friends of the Milwaukee Public Museum present the 16th annual Food & Froth Fest, which will take place at the museum. This evening event will feature more than 200 beers, including seasonal beers, from Midwestern and international breweries. Local bands are scheduled to perform, and there will be food for purchase. 22: FriendFest Benefit Beer and Wine Festival, Kutztown, PA

Friend, Inc., Community Services hosts the sixth annual FriendFest Benefit Beer and Wine Festival, which will take place in Beltzner Hall at the Kutztown Fairgrounds. There will be afternoon and evening tasting sessions, each with locally produced beer and wine (18 breweries and six wineries were represented last year). McMenamin's Hillsdale Brewery and Public House will host the 21st annual Hillsdale Brewfest. The festival features the "Battle for the Belt," with more than 20 ales from McMenamins' breweries competing for the championship belt and a berth in the Oregon Brewers Festival in July. The second annual Kennett Winterfest will take place on South Broad Street, between State And Cypress Streets, in Kennett Square. There will be live music from the Shady Groove Trio, and food from The Country Butcher.

22: Michigan Brewers Guild Winter Beer Festival, Grand Rapids, MI

The Michigan Brewers Guild presents the ninth annual Winter Beer Festival, which will take place in the parking lot of Fifth Third Ballpark in Grand Rapids. This outdoor afternoon festival, which will take place "snow, rain, or shine," will feature around 600 beers from over 70 Michigan breweries, with an emphasis will be on "big" and barrel-aged beers. Some of the beers will be rare or vintage. Hot food will be available for purchase, and there will be live music.

22: Naperville Winter Ale Fest, Naperville, IL

The inaugural Naperville Winter Ale Fest will be held at Frontier Park. This outdoor afternoon event will feature more than 120 craft-brewed beers from around the country, with an emphasis on winter seasonals. There will be live music, and some of Chicagoland’s favorite food trucks will be at the festival site. Part of the proceeds will go to the Naperville Parks Foundation.

22: New London Chamber Beer Tasting, New London, WI

The New London Chamber of Commerce presents its sixth annual Beer Tasting, which will take place at the Crystal Falls Banquet Facility. This evening event will feature more than 65 beverages, including regional and imported beers, wines, and specialty drinks. Local restaurants will serve hors d’ oeuvres. There will be live music by Xplosion after the festival itself.

22: Philly Bierfest, Philadelphia, PA

Philly Bierfest 2014 will take place at the German Society, a 19th-century mansion in Philadelphia's Northern Liberties district. 27: Art of Beer, Niagara Falls, NY

The Niagara Arts and Cultural Center, in Niagara Falls, will host the eighth annual Art of Beer. This Thursday evening event, which is the center's premier fund-raising event, will feature craft beer, much of it from western New York. There will also be live music from the Lakeside Band and Friends, local food vendors, and displays of brewery art and breweriana. Parking is free.

27-March 1: CAMRA Wigan Beer Festival, Wigan, England

The Wigan Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 27th annual CAMRA Wigan Beer Festival, which will take place at the Robin Park Indoor Sports Centre.
