The fifth annual Frederick Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Frederick. This nine-day celebration kicks off with the Frederick Beer Week Tap Takeover, and closes with Beerfest at the Farm. There will be many other events such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.
May 29-7: Philly Beer Week, Philadelphia, PA
The eighth annual Philly Beer Week will take place at breweries, bars, restaurants, stores, and other venues in and around Philadelphia. This ten-day celebration kicks off with the Opening Tap. Other headline events will include the Hammer of Glory Relay and the International Great Beer Expo. There will be hundreds of other events such as beer dinners and beer and food pairings, tours, meet-the-brewer events, release parties, tap takeovers, tastings, and specially-priced drinks.
4-6: Southampton Beer Festival, Southampton, England
The Southern Hampshire Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale presents the 19th annual Southampton Beer Festival, which will take place at the O2 Guildhall. This three-day event will feature more than 90 Real Ales, along with a selection of 16 ciders and perries, a wide range of bottled beers, and wine by the glass. There will also be live music, food for purchase, and a family room.
5-6: SAVOR: An American Craft Beer & Food Experience, Washington, DC
The Brewers Association presents the eighth annual SAVOR: An American Craft Beer & Food Experience, which will take place at the National Building Museum in Washington. This elegant evening event will feature beer from more than 70 independent breweries, many of which have not poured at this event before. Brewery personnel will be in attendance. There will also be a reception-style presentation of sweet and savory foods, along with tasted salons directed by leading names in beer and food.
6: Blue Hop BrewHaHa, Johnson City, TN*
Superfly Fabulous Events presents the second annual Blue Hop BrewHaHa, which will take place in downtown Johnson City. This afternoon event will feature beer form more than 20 breweries, many of them from the Johnson City area and east Tennessee. There will also be live music, street food, and craft vendors.
6: Inland Northwest BeerFest, Post Falls, ID
The 2015 Inland Northwest BeerFest will be held in the parking lot of Nates New York Pizza. This afternoon event will feature more than 20 beers from a dozen Idaho, Oregon, and Washington breweries. Pizza will be available for purchase. The festival chart is Blue Star Mothers.
6: Mountain Brewers Beer Fest, Twin Falls, ID
The North American Brewers Association presents the 21st annual Mountain Brewers Beer Fest, which will take place at Sandy Downs Racetrack in Twin Falls. This afternoon event will feature more than 600 beers from over 80 domestic and foreign breweries, many of them from the Mountain West. The Association's annual judged beer competition will take place in connection with the festival. There will also be live music, food for purchase, a prize raffle, and a live auction. Part of the proceeds will go to several local charities.
Ninety9Bottles, a liquor store, presents the second annual Ninety9Bottles Craft Beer Festival. It will take place at Oyster Shell Park in Norwalk, a venue overlooking the harbor. This afternoon event will feature more than 40 craft beers from New England, along with live entertainment and food for purchase.
6: Paws for Rhythm and Brews, Idyllwild, CA
Animal Rescue Friends of Idyllwild, a grass-roots animal-rescue charity in Idyllwild, will host Paws for Rhythm and Brews. This afternoon event will feature beer from 12 craft breweries, a homebrew competition, live blues music, barbecue for purchase, and a stein-holding competition.
6: Sasquatch Brewfest, Eugene, OR
The Northwest Legends Foundation presents the 13th annual Sasquatch Brewfest, which will take place at the Hop Valley Tasting Room and Brewery in Eugene's Fermentation District. This all-day outdoor event will feature beer from Pacific Northwest breweries, including beers brewed specially for the festival. There will also be a homebrewing contest, live music, food booths, and a silent auction. A brewer’s dinner will take place the evening before the festival. A large portion of the proceeds from the festival will be donated to the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation.
10-14: Mondial de la Biere, Montreal, QC, Canada
The 22nd annual Mondial de la Biere will be held indoors at the Palais des Congrès and outdoors on Place Jean-Paul-Riopelle in downtown Montreal. This five-day event will feature 500 beers from around the world, including hard-to-find beers and beers specially brewed for the festival. There will also be Quebec cider and other food specialties from the province, and the Mbeer series of conferences and seminars. Admission to the festival is free.
12-13: Guildford Beer Festival, Guildford, England
The Guildford Cricket Club presents the sixth Guildford Beer Festival, which will take place under marquees at The Sports Ground, near the town center. This two-day event will feature more than 70 cask ales from independent breweries in Surrey and surrounding counties, along with ciders, wines, and soft drinks. A variety of local headline acts will perform. Parking is free.
12-13: Local-Craft Brewfest, Somerville, MA
The Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts presents the fourth annual Local-Craft Brewfest, which will take place at the Armory in Somerville. This two-day, three session event, which is a fund-raiser for the Network, will feature a variety of craft beers, ciders, and meads from New England, many of which incorporate local food products. There will also be live entertainment, an educational program, and locally-sourced food for purchase. Friday evening’s session will include a tasting of cask-conditioned beers, hosted by Randy Baril, the head cellarman of NERAX.
13: Great Northern Beer Festival, Eagle River, WI
The 2015 Great Northern Beer Festival will be held on the Festival Grounds at Hi-Pines Campground in Eagle River. This afternoon event will feature beer from more than 30 breweries, most of them from Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest, along with homebrew from the Northwoods LUSH Inc., Club. Food and snacks will be available for purchase. Proceeds will go to several local charities.
13: Hattiesburg Craft Beer Festival, Hattiesburg, MS
The third annual Hattiesburg Craft Beer Festival will be held at the Historic Hattiesburg Train Depot. This afternoon event will feature more than 100 beers from over 30 breweries, along with a selection of homebrewed beers. There will also be live music, and food will be available for purchase. VIP tickets, with early admission, a special selection of beers, and complimentary food, are available.
13: New Hope Beer Festival, New Hope, PA
The second annual New Hope Beer Festival will be held at the Eagle Fire House Banquet Hall, located within walking distance from downtown. This afternoon event will feature beer from Philadelphia-area craft breweries. There will also be live music, entertainment, and food and merchandise vendors.
18-20: Tynedale Beer Festival, Corbridge, England
Tynedale RFC and Tynedale Lions present the 2015 Tynedale Beer Festival, which will take place at Tynedale Park in Corbridge. This three-day event, to be held on the banks in the River Tyne in Roman Wall Country, will feature more than 100 beers, 40 ciders, and a selection of wines. There will also be live music, street food for purchase, and children’s activities. All profits will go to charity.
19-21: Beer & BBQ Show, London, ON, Canada
The Western Fair District presents the third annual London Beer & BBQ Show, which will take place at the Western Fair Grounds in London. This three-day event will feature more than 50 Ontario craft beers. There will also be barbecue, including pork ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and chicken; other food for purchase; an educational program; a variety of sports; cooking demonstrations; and activities.
19-21: Oregon Garden Brewfest, Silverton, OR
Growl Movement presents the 11th annual Oregon Garden Brewfest, which will be held in the Grand Hall at the Oregon Garden Resort. This three-day event will feature more than 135 beers, ciders, and meads from over 65 breweries, with an emphasis on Oregon-made products. There will be a beer education program, live bands performing on two stages, and food from local vendors. Festival-goers are invited to explore the venue’s botanical gardens. A Brewer's Tasting Dinner will take place at Seven Brides Brewing on Thursday evening before the festival itself.
19-21: Washington Brewers Festival, Redmond, WA
The Washington Beer Commission presents the 2015 Washington Brewers Festival, which will take place at King County's Marymoor Park in Redmond. Friday evening's 21-and-over session will feature beer from around 70 Washington breweries, including a special Friday-only beer selection, along with food and live music. Saturday and Sunday's sessions, which are open to all ages, will feature more than 300 draft beers, along with ciders and wines, from around 90 breweries. There will also be live music, a brewers' keg toss contest, food for purchase, a craft market, and a kids' playground and root beer garden.
20: Big Solano Brew-Haha, Fairfield, CA
The second annual Big Solano Brew-Haha will be held at a new venue, the Joseph Nelson Community Center in Suisun City. This afternoon event will feature beer from dozens of local and regional breweries. There will also be live entertainment, including music and comedy, along with local food for purchase. The festival is a fund-raiser for the Solano Library Foundation's literacy programs.
26-28: Portland International Beer Festival, Portland, OR
The 2015 Portland International Beer Festival returns to Holladay Park at Lloyd Center. This three-day event will feature more than 200 beers from 16 countries, including rare, hard-to-find, and locally-brewed beers. Live bands will perform all weekend. There will also be a Grande Beer Garden; food for purchase; a huge lawn for picnickers; and games, including darts, backgammon, checkers, chess, and cards. The festival charity is PetCross.
